IMBCInternational Centre for Financial Training NEW ENTRANTS AND INDUSTRY PROFESSIONALS International Mortgage Broker Certificate The programme provides 6 months paid internship, with one of our participant mortgage industry companies, classroom based intensive study to complete the UK standards qualification if you don't already have it, Training to achieve Competent Adviser Status for FSA registration and the International Broker Certificate (OFTA) to provide access to the global mortgage industry. Applicants with CeMAP or an equivalent qualification may also apply. You will contribute towards your training costs.
About the IMBC programme Application Process and Programme Profile. This programme is designed for those who want to fast track their financial services career with help to pass CeMAP if you don't have it and get the required practical training in client skills, mortgage sales, processing, compliance with financial regulations and continual training and development to achieve CAS (Competent Adviser Status). IMBC extends the skills learned to the global mortgage industry. On receipt of your application we begin our selection process and once you have been invited to interview and hopefully offered a place here's what will happen. Day 1 Selection interviews and tests We will offer you a provisional place and you will accept by completion of the application form and payment of the £100 programme enrolment fee. Month 1 You will make yourself availale to attend work placement interviews with firms from OFTA's register of participating mortgage brokers around the UK. You will confirm that arrangements to pay the course fee are in place. Month 2 You will complete CeMAP residential London college based study. If you have CeMAP you will immediately take up your work placement as soon as you have confirmation that the course fee arrangements are in place. For those joining without CeMAP ..... Month 3 You will take up your work placement and begin 6 months as a trainee mortgage adviser, continuing your studies in financial services regulatory compliance, mortgage administraton and marketing to achieve competent adviser professional status. Month 9 Following 6 months of work placement, achieving Competent Adviser Status and having demonstrated your success as a professional adviser you should expect an offer of a full work contract.
